Mehrdad Ehsani had obtained B.S. in electrical engineering from the [[University of Texas at Austin]] in 1973 and a year later got M.S. from the same place in the same field. From 1977 to 1981 he worked as a Resident Research Associate at the [[Argonne National Laboratory]] in Illinois prior to finishing his Ph.D. at [[University of Wisconsin-Madison]].<ref></ref>
