'''Jane Timbury''' (date of birth unknown, died c. 1792), was an English novelist and poet whose books were published between 1770 and 1791.

Her novel ''The Male-coquette'' (1770) appeared anonymously, but was republished in 1788 as ''The Male Coquet'' with Timbury’s name added to the title page.<ref>Madeleine Blondel, "Eighteenth-Century Novels Transformed: Pirates and Publishers" in ''The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America'',

Timbury’s ''The story of Le Fevre, from the works of Mr. Sterne'' (1787) attempted to increase the drama of [[Laurence Sterne]]'s work by putting it into verse, but has been judged to “contort Tristram’s spontaneous profession of whimsicality into pedestrian metre and verse”.<ref> Mary-Celine Newbould, ''Adaptations of Laurence Sterne's Fiction: Sterneana, 1760–1840'' (Routledge, 2016), [https://ift.tt/3gfO6xG p. 87]</ref> Her book of verse, ''The History of Tobit'', self-published in 1787, included a long list of subscribers, among whom were [[Samuel Arnold (composer)|Samuel Arnold]] and [[Jeremy Bentham]]. L. Winifred Faraday

Sehovde: /* created page */

'''L. Winifred Faraday''' (1872-1948) was a British teacher and [[Folklore studies|folklorist]] known for her translation of the Irish epic ''Táin Bó Cúailnge''.

Lucy Winifred Faraday was born on 8 July 1872 in [[Manchester]].
<ref name="uman register">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref> She studied at the [[Victoria University of Manchester]] (Owens College), where she held a University Fellowship and a University Scholarship. She took a [[British undergraduate degree classification|First]] in English Language and Literature, earning her B.A. in 1897 and her M.A. in 1900. Her sister, Ethel Richmond Faraday, also studied at the University of Manchester.<ref name="u man">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref><ref name="uman register" />

Faraday taught at [[Howell's School, Llandaff]] in 1893, and the [[Manchester High School for Girls]] starting in 1899, where she was a lecturer in English philology. She also earned her teacher's diploma from the University of Manchester in 1903.<ref name="mlps memoirs">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref><ref name="uman register" />

In April 1900, she was the first woman elected to the [[Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society]]; the year before, she had been the first woman to have a paper read at the Society ("On the question of Irish influence on early Icelandic literature…," communicated on her behalf by her brother).<ref name="mlps">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

She was a member of the [[Icelandic Society of Copenhagen]], and published a number of articles on Icelandic history and folklore.<ref name="mlps memoirs" /> In 1901 and 1902, she produced a two-volume work on the [[Poetic Edda]] and the [[Prose Edda]].

Her translation of the Irish epic ''[[Táin Bó Cúailnge]]'', published in 1904, was the first English translation based on two early, incomplete versions of the Táin: one contained in a 12th-century manuscript known as ''[[Lebor na hUidre]]'', or the Book of the Dun Cow (a version described by later translator [[Thomas Kinsella]] as "a badly flawed and mutilated text"), and another recorded in the 14th-century manuscript ''Leabhar Buidhe Leacáin'', or the [[Yellow Book of Lecan]]. (Most other translations have been based on a more complete version in the ''[[Book of Leinster]]''. <ref name="kinsella">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

She died on 13 November 1948.

The '''Magé incident''' was a reported [[UFO sighting]] that occurred on the 12th and 13th of May, 2020, in the city of [[Magé]] in [[Greater Rio de Janeiro]]. From around 10:40 PM until 2:00 AM, residents of the city recorded videos showing various strange lights of different colors in the heart of the city and shared them on [[social media]]<ref>[https://www.jqnoticias.com.br/2020/05/13/avistamentos-de-ovnis-em-mage-rj-vao-parar-nos-trending-topics-do-twitter/]Avistamentos de OVNIs em Magé vão parar nos trending topics do Twitter - jqnoticias</ref>. The lights in the videos range from circular objects to bright flashes of light occurring at the edge of the horizon<ref>[https://ift.tt/2WPXFeE] Suposta aparição de OVNI em Magé (RJ) movimenta a internet - g1.globo</ref><ref>[https://noticias.uol.com.br/cotidiano/ultimas-noticias/2020/05/13/suposta-queda-de-ovni-em-mage-rj-intriga-brasileiros-e-ganha-memes.htm]"ET de Pau Grande" intriga brasileiros e ganha memes - UOL.com.br</ref>.

==Conspiracy theories==
===Possible crash===
Some began to formulate a [[conspiracy theory]] in which one of the [[UFO|UFOs]] crashed in the district of [[Pau Grande]]<ref>[https://ift.tt/2Zq67T5] Video mostra suposta queda de OVNI em Magé no Rio de Janeiro - SBT Noticias</ref><ref>[https://ift.tt/2yTG8tW] Suposta queda de OVNI intriga internautas - Revista Istoé</ref>, near a factory of the arms manufacturing and research [[quango]] the [[IMBEL]] wherein [[helicopters]] of the [[Brazilian Armed Forces]] may have recovered the alleged wreck. There were no relevant communications from the related authorities.

===Cover-up by Google===
It was also suggested in some videos that [[Google]] may have [[cover up|censored images and coordinates]] related to the place where the UFO supposedly collided<ref>[https://ift.tt/3ggk1xX] Google Earth escondeu o local da queda do suposto OVNI de Magé - Noticias R7</ref>, which was readily disproved as the images on Google products do not update in real time.

==Possible explanations==
===Venus===
According to the [[ufology|ufologist]] Marco Antonio Petit, the videos may be sightings of the [[planet Venus]] and of some [[satellites]] such as those of the [[Starlink|Starlink system]]<ref>[https://ift.tt/2YIM6I4] "Não há nenhuma evidencia da queda de um OVNI, diz ufólogo Marco Antonio Petit" - CNN Brasil</ref>.

===Munitions testing and accidental explosions===
Another possible explanation for the case, and especially for the flashes of light, is possible explosives testing carried out by the IMBEL's Estrela Plant. The theory gained strength due to the accidental death of one of IMBEL's officials on the day of question<ref>[https://ift.tt/2YPbDQd] Caso Magé: A História de um UFO que nunca existiu - Revista UFO</ref>.

Umm al-Walid

Nsfeldman0413: Translation of the Arabic article "ام الوليد"

The village of '''Umm al-Walid''' is located south of the Jordanian capital Amman, according to archaeological studies. But, the citizens consider this area as in need of rehabilitation, in order to put it on the Jordanian archaeological map. It belongs to many ancient civilizations, and has been occupied since the Bronze Age.<ref name=":0">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

== History ==
The current modern-day village is largely built atop the remains of archaeological sites that are scattered throughout the town. The ruins are 15km southeast of Madaba.<ref name=":0" />

And via the surveys and excavations that occurred in this village, it became clear that it was a settlement since the Greek and Roman times.<ref name=":1"></ref> The work revealed Roman temples and burial sites dating back to the second century C.E.<ref name=":2"></ref>

As for the Islamic period, Umm al-Walid became prominent as a summer settlement during the Umayyad period, where there were three Umayyad palaces built close together in the area, and an Umayyad mosque<ref name=":1" /> (which dates back to about 712-37 AD)<ref name=":2" /> and summer residential settlement.<ref name=":1" /> The remains of these homes are still visible next to these palaces. Additionally there are dams close to the village: the Qanatir, which refers to dams (northwestern and southeastern) used to store rainwater in the summer heat.<ref name=":0" /> It is clear from this that this was an agricultural settlement, in addition to being located along a trade route. Many trade caravans passed through Umm al-Walid, an activity that stopped after the Islamic capital moved from Damascus to Baghdad.<ref name=":0" />

During a study of the walls of the palaces and their arches and vaults, it was made clear that the site was re-used in the [[Abbasid Caliphate|Abbasid]] period, and then the [[Mamluk era|Mamluk]] period, where the vaults, arches, and small columns seemed clear and prominent.

== Umm al-Walid castle ==
There are three Umayyad castles in Umm al-Walid, whose grand planning was part of the Umayyad period. Scientists have called these palaces the following names, attributed to their locations in reference to the ancient village: they are the Umm al-Walid eastern castle, the central castle, and the western castle.<ref name=":2" />

The architectural style is special in that it brings out the castles’ prominent features. The explorer, [[Henry Baker Tristram|H.B. Tristram]], acknowledged this the first time he saw the Greek hall.<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref> It has been in operation from 1988 to 1996, by a Swiss delegation<ref name=":1" /> led by Dr. Jacques Bujard.<ref name=":1" /><ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

=== General Plan ===
The castle is shaped like a cube, with dimensions of 70.5 x 70.5 m3<ref name=":1" /> and is surrounded by fifteen towers, which contain entrances from the East, and a corridor and a main square. And beyond that, one enters the five wings of the palace, in front of which is an inner courtyard, one half exposed and the other half covered by a roof which is supported by arches. Each wing contains rooms and baths. The palace is covered with a layer of gypsum inside.

=== Main Hall ===
The main hall of the castle is cubic, its height 33 x 33 m3<ref name=":1" /> and is tiled completely with trimmed stones. It is exposed to the open air, and surrounded on many sides by interior halls, and other halls separated by columns which support arches leading to the ceiling, which covers half of the inner hall and is located in front of each of the five wings so that each interior hall has one entrance.<ref name=":1" />

=== Walls and Towers ===
The palace is built from trimmed stones, some of them taken from other buildings which date back to the previous eras, the Roman and Byzantine,<ref name=":1" /> and the walls inside are colored white, which was common in the Umayyad period.

The palace contains fifteen hemispherical towers:<ref name=":1" /> three towers in each facade and two towers in the front facade and a tower in every corner three quarters of the circle. There are also aesthetically pleasing towers that also support the walls of the palace but have no defensive purpose.<ref name=":0" /> This was inferred because of its small size, and the fact that it was filled almost entirely with stones.

== Important Discoveries ==
A stone porch, considered the first of its kind in Jordan in terms of style, was discovered in the 1993 season by a Swiss delegation of archaeologists. It was found in the northwestern hallway of the Umm al-Walid palace, in front of the gates to one of the rooms. It is an upper door sill with dimensions of 3.34 meters by 60 centimeters. It is covered with gypsum and fresco embellishments that depict a lion hunting a gazelle. It was found broken in two pieces, and it was then restored by the Swiss delegation.

Korean dining culture

Engwhyandae: ←Created page with 'Korea has not preferred individualism because it has long preferred group culture. However, as times have changed, the culture of taking care of individual life...'

Korea has not preferred individualism because it has long preferred group culture. However, as times have changed, the culture of taking care of individual life rather than group life has gradually begun to emerge. As a result, various "alone" cultures began to be derived.

== "[https://ift.tt/3dFrZyY honbab]" culture ==
[[File:News about eating alone.jpg|thumb|news about eating alone]]
One of the most prominent group cultures was the dining culture. Korea is used to eating more than two people everywhere. But these days, the word 'honbab' has emerged. It refers to people who eat alone. In the case of buffets and meat restaurants, they often go as a group, and depending on the type of restaurant, there is a level table to check if they can eat alone. In addition, there are now meat restaurants that operate on a one-person basis in line with this change.

=== restaurant ===
As the culture of eating alone spreads, the number of food companies targeting single-person households is increasing. Lee Chun-bok tuna standing bar, which [[Lotte Department Store]] ambitiously introduced, is a typical example. Lee Chun-bok Tuna Standing Bar is a store that Lotte Department Store started planning with "[https://ift.tt/3dE97Ap Lee Chun-bok Tuna]," a famous tuna restaurant in Korea, three months ago, and can go beyond "Honbap" and even "Drink Alone."<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

=== consumer market ===
As the number of single-person households has increased and the consumer market in the field of household snacks for the "Naholo" people who enjoy "Honbab" and "Honbap" that have emerged as a new consumption culture has rapidly increased, trademark applications in this field have also increased significantly.

According to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) on the 20th, the number of applications for instant rice brands jumped more than six-fold from 43 in 2013 to 285 last year.

Cooked pizza, cooked soup, and frozen noodle products were only applied for one or two cases in 2013, but last year, they showed a steady increase of 75 cases (147% per year on average), 140 cases (244%) and 86 cases (204%).<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

=== home appliances ===
Samsung Electronics' "The Plate," which debuted as a two-ball model in October last year, is gaining popularity among millennials with many single-person households due to its small size and sensuous design. In particular, as the culture of spending time at home spreads, sales are steadily increasing by 40% per month.<ref></ref>
<br />

== Post Corona period ==
In particular, in the aftermath of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), the food culture of several people sitting around the table and eating together is changing faster.

While the demand for single-person menus and private services has increased in the wake of the post-corona era, dining out, including buffet, seems to be shunned by an unspecified number of people.

Recently, as demand for untact has grown and social distance in all areas has become New Normal, sales of single-person menus in the local food industry have soared. Following this trend, the industry is strengthening its single-person menu.

=== corporate transformation ===

==== Samyang ====
Samyang F&B has decided to close all of its buffet family restaurant Seven Springs stores that Samyang Group acquired in 2006. Seven Springs is Samyang Group's only restaurant business, but it is seen as a decision due to the decrease in the number of people visiting buffets due to changes in restaurant trends and the aftermath of Corona 19. CJ Foodville has revised its strategy and is introducing simple foods such as RMR (Restaurant Meal Replacement) products with family restaurant VIPS.<ref name=":0"></ref>

==== Buffet ====
With the demand for buffets falling significantly, the start-up trend in the franchise market is shifting to one-person menus and customized and delivery services. According to a report by Hana Financial Management Research Institute last month titled "Changes in Consumption Behavior brought by Corona 19," card sales related to buffet and business trip banquet services fell 64 percent in the first quarter.

The industry is emphasizing the need to launch a long-term strategy as the food culture in Korea in the post-corona era has changed greatly. Since various methods such as delivery, drive-through, and single-person menu composition are already implemented, it is predicted that it will be difficult for food companies to survive if they insist on the existing method.<ref name=":0" />

==== Lotte ====
Lotte Food is investing 93 billion won to expand its new convenience food line at its Gimcheon plant. Currently, Lotte Food produces dumplings and fried foods through outsourced companies, but the company expects that the expansion of the Gimcheon plant will allow it to produce HMR production efficiency by establishing its own production system. The grand prize winner will invest 102.2 billion won to complete the food R&D center in Magok Industrial Complex in the first half of 2022. After the completion of the Magok Research Institute, the Grand Prize plans to strengthen its R&D capabilities by bringing together existing personnel and facilities at the Icheon Central Research Institute. In addition, it is planning to invest in expansion and automation that correspond to growth of simple food, and expansion of overseas materials and foods.<ref name=":0" />

Fractional matching

Erel Segal: /* Perfect fractional matching */

In [[graph theory]], a '''fractional matching''' is a generalization of a [[Matching (graph theory)|matching]] in which, intuitively, each vertex may be broken into fractions that are matched to different neighbor vertices.

Formally, given a graph ''G = (V, E)'', a fractional matching in ''G'' is a function that assigns, to each edge ''e'' in ''E'', a fraction ''f''(''e'') in [0,1], such that for every vertex ''v'' in ''V'', the sum of fractions of edges adjacent to ''v'' is at most 1:<ref name=":1">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref> <blockquote><math>\forall v\in V: \sum_{e\ni v}f(e)\leq 1</math> </blockquote>A matching (often called: '''integral matching''') is a special case of a fractional matching, in which the fraction of every edge is either 1 or 0: ''f(e)'' = 1 if ''e'' is in the matching, and ''f(e)'' = 0 if it is not.

The ''size'' of a fractional matching is the sum of fractions of all edges.

The '''fractional matching number''' of a graph ''G'' is the largest size of a fractional matching in ''G''. It is often denoted by <math>\nu^*(G)</math>.<ref name=":0">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

The '''integral matching number''' of a graph ''G'' is the largest size of an integral matching in ''G''. It is often denoted by <math>\nu(G)</math>.<ref name=":0" />

Since a matching is a special case of a fractional matching, for every graph ''G'':<blockquote>integral-matching-number (''G'') ≤ fractional-matching-number (''G'');</blockquote>In symbols:<blockquote><math>\nu(G) \leq \nu^*(G).</math></blockquote>In a bipartite graph equality holds: <math>\nu(G) = \nu^*(G).</math> In a general graph, <math>\nu(G) > \frac{2}{3} \nu^*(G).</math> <ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

== Perfect fractional matching ==
A fractional matching is called ''perfect'' if the sum of weights adjacent to each vertex is exactly 1. The size of a perfect matching is exactly |''V''|/2.

In a [[bipartite graph]] ''G'' = (''X+Y, E''), a fractional matching is called ''X-perfect'' if the sum of weights adjacent to each vertex of ''X'' is exactly 1. The size of an ''X''-perfect fractional matching is exactly |''X''|.

The following are equivalent for a bipartite graph ''G'' = (''X+Y, E''):<ref></ref>

*''G'' admits an ''X''-perfect integral matching.
*''G'' admits an ''X''-perfect fractional matching. The implication is obvious since an integral matching is a fractional matching.
*''G'' satisfies the condition to [[Hall's marriage theorem]]. The implication holds because, for each subset ''W'' of ''X'', the sum of weights near vertices of ''W'' is |''W''|, so the edges adjacent to them are necessarily adjacent to at least ''|W|'' vertices of ''Y''.

By Hall's marriage theorem, the last condition implies the first one.

== Algorithmic aspects ==
A largest fractional matching in a graph can be easily found by [[linear programming]], or alternatively by a [[Maximum flow problem|maximum flow algorithm]]. In a bipartite graph, it is possible to convert a maximum fractional matching to a maximum integral matching of the same size. This leads to a simple polynomial-time algorithm for finding a maximum matching in a bipartite graph.<ref></ref>

Tarkote state

Spbal: Spbal moved page Tarkote state to User:Tarkote state: created by mistake

==Citation clean up==
There seems to be some back and forth regarding the citations. That is why I am creating a discussion here. I have verified few citations .
# One titled "TWO FORGOTTEN MUGHAL SUBADARS OF ORISSA" . The article does not mention Tarakote state or Syed Habibullah Ali Mirja.
# The citation titled "Muslim Economic administration in Odisha" also does not mention Tarakote.
# The citation titled "RAJA MANSINGH AND THE FINAL CONQUEST OF ORISSA BY THE MUGHALS" does not mention Tarakote or other details.
# The citation titled "MUSLIM INSCRIPTIONS OF ODISHA" does not mention Tarakote. It only mentions Jajpur and the Mosque at Jajpr that is closest to Tarakote.
# The Citation titled "Muslim Administration in Orissa (1568-1751) | Odisha State Archive" seems to be an offline citation . The same book is available on google books . https://ift.tt/3g5hUwL . This also does not mention Tarakote.
# None of the citations mention the rulers of Tarakote.

In light of the above I am restoring the verification failed tags. Please do not remove it until the issues are fixed.

Prix Iris for Best Hair

Bearcat: removed Category:Awards established in 2004; added Category:Awards established in 2005 using HotCat

The '''Prix Iris for Best Hair''' () is an annual film award, presented by [[Québec Cinéma]] as part of its [[Prix Iris]] awards program, to honour the year's best [[hairstyling]] in films made within the [[Cinema of Quebec]].

The award was presented for the first time at the [[7th Jutra Awards]] in 2005. Prior to its creation, hairstylists could receive nominations in the [[Prix Iris for Best Makeup|Best Makeup]] category.

Until 2016, it was known as the '''Jutra Award for Best Hair''' in memory of influential Quebec film director [[Claude Jutra]].<ref name=renaming>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref> Following the withdrawal of Jutra's name from the award, the 2016 award was presented under the name Québec Cinéma.<ref name=renaming/> The [[Prix Iris]] name was announced in October 2016.<ref name=iris>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>

The Hare's Bride

Jack1956: /* Synopsis */

'''''The Hare's Bride''''' (''Häschenbraut'') KHM 66 is a German [[fairy tale]] collected by the [[Brothers Grimm]] and published in the second edition of ''[[Grimms' Fairy Tales|Kinder- und Hausmärchen]]'' (''Grimm's Fairy Rales'') in 1819. It is a tale of [[Aarne–Thompson classification systems|Aarne–Thompson]] type 311.<ref name=Pitts/>

==Synopsis==
Once there was a widow and her daughter whose pretty garden had a plot full of cabbages. A hare managed to get into the plot and throughout the Winter months he slowly and quietly ate all the cabbages. At last, the mother told her daughter to go into the cabbage plot and chase the hare off. The girl found the hare and said, "Hare, you must go way for you are eating all our cabbages!" The hare turned to the girl and said, "Sit on my little hare's tail and come with me to my little hare's hut." But the girl refused to go with him.

The next day the hare returned and again began to eat their cabbages, so the woman said to her daughter, "Go to the cabbage plot and chase that hare away."

Finding the hare, again the girl cried, "Hare, you must go way for you are eating all our cabbages!"

But again the hare's response was, "Sit on my little hare's tail and come with me to my little hare's hut." And again the girl refused.

When on the third day the hare once again came and was eating the cabbages in the plot the mother told the girl, "Go to the cabbage plot and chase that hare away."

So yet again the young girl went to the cabbage plot and finding the hare eating the cabbages cried, "Hare, you must go way for you are eating all our cabbages!"

But again the hare's response was, "Sit on my little hare's tail and come with me to my little hare's hut." And this time the girl did just that. She sat on the hare's little tail and the hare carried her off to his little hut a long way from her home. In the hut the hare said to the girl, "Prepare some cabbage and millet - for today we will be married. Now I am going to fetch the guests for our wedding." Shortly after the hare returned with his wedding guests - who were all hares too. There was a crow who acted as the [[parson]] and a fox who acted as the [[sexton]] and the wedding table was placed beneath a rainbow. But the girl was unhappy for she was alone in the hut and far from home and she locked the door of the little hut.

The hare came to the door of the hut and cried, "Open the door, for the wedding guests are making merry!" But the young girl cried in her unhappiness and did not open the door and the hare went away.

On his return the hare cried, "Take off the lid for the wedding guests are hungry!" But the girl still did not open the door and continued to cry in her loneliness. and again the hare went away.

The hare returned for the third time and cried, "Take off the lid for the wedding guests are waiting!" Again she was silent and again she did not open the door, and the hare went away. And taking a straw doll the girl dressed it in her clothes and put a wooden spoon in its hand and placed it neat to the millet pot. Then the girl ran all the way home.

When the hare came home to his little hut he cried, "Take off the lid!" But on finding the door unlocked he went into the hut and in his anger he hit the straw doll on the head - when its cap fell off. Realising the doll was not his bride and that the girl had run away from him the hare sadly walked away.<ref name=Pitt/>
