Per Sune Evaldsson Gillbrand, is a Swedish engineer with the nick-name Turbopelle (Turbo-Geek) born March 23 1934 in Tidaholm, Sweden. Died November 30, 2016.

Gillbrand is most known for his contribution in the development of Saabs well known and successful engines, especially the Turbo engine and was the inventor of [[Automatic Performance Control]] system<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (1 for 2)</ref>.

After finalising Technical Collage in Gothenburg, Gillbrand started working for Volvo in Skövde as test engineer 1956 and later as engine development engineer at Volvo in Gothenburg.

2006 Gillbrand became honoured by the Swedish Volvo P1800-club for his contribution developing the [[Volvo B18 engine]].

The other Swedish car manifacturer Saab was in need of 4-stroke engine competence when moving from 2-stroke, and managed to recruite Gillbrand 1964, together with his colleague from Volvo Olle Granlund.

Gillbrand first assignment was the final test of the Ford V4 engine in Saab 93 and then implementing Triumphs engine in Saab 99.

1970 Gillbrand became manager of Saab-Scanias engine laboratory in Södertälje where he was in lead when Saab became the first car manifacturer using small turbo chargers in gasoline engines, using the technology, such as the Watergate, found in most modern turbocharged engines today<ref></ref>. Gillbrand is also the inventor of the [[Automatic Performance Control]] system.
