Abudius Ruso was the only known member of the [[Abudia gens|gens Abudia]]. He was a former [[aedile]] and a legate in [[Gnaeus Cornelius Lentulus Gaetulicus|Gaius Cornelius Lentulus Gaetulicus]]'s army during the reign of emperor [[Tiberius]].<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref> He served in [[Germania Superior|Upper Germania]] under Gnaeus Cornelius Lentulus Geatulicus. Ruso attacked his superior because of his connections to the Praetorian prefect [[Sejanus]], who had fallen out of favor three years earlier. It is unclear whether there was a formal charge against Lentulus; in any case, he was not convicted, but Ruso was banished from Rome.
