Thomas Joseph Osler, better known as Tom Osler, is an American mathematician, former national champion distance runner, and author of books on the subjects of mathematics and running as well as 155 publications in mathematical journals.

Tom Osler has won three national American Athletic Union (AAU) championships at 25km (1965), 30km and 50mi (1967). He is the winner of the 1965 Philadelphia Marathon and in the course of his career has won races of nearly every length from one mile to 100 miles.

Osler's running career began in 1954 and ended with his last race in 2017. In his lifetime he ran a total of 2705 races. He documented every single one of these races in a detailed race log spanning the 63 years of his racing career.

Tom Osler is a full professor of mathematics at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, where he has been teaching full-time since 1972.
