'''Esther Wood''' was a [[British people|British]] art critic.

The sister of [[Mary Anne Everett Green]], Wood was known for a period as '''Esther Martin''', but later returned to her birth name. She was an early member of both the [[Fabian Society]] and the [[Independent Labour Party]], and also joined the Pharos Club. In 1902/03, she served on the executive of the Fabian Society.<ref name="fabian">Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (1 for 2)</ref>

In 1894, Wood wrote ''Dante Rossetti and the Pre-Raphaelite Movement'', in which she argued that the [[Pre-Raphaelites]] reinvented a Mediaeval tradition.<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (1 for 2)</ref> She also edited the works of [[George Eliot]], and wrote numerous articles for magazines, principally on subjects relating to art.<ref name="fabian" />
