Having completed PhD at Centre for Linguistics, School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Simmy has been associated with Indian National Congress as a student activist.. He has done Masters in Philosophy from University Campus, Kerala University, and bachelor degree from St.Aloysius College, Edathua, Alappuzha.
Simmy has announced his next project Teesri Duniya to be shot in 2021.
