It was founded under the leadership of [[Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama]], a prominent Sunni Islamic scholar’s organization of Kerala. Iqrah Publication Ltd. is the publisher of Suprabhaatham. The word " Suprabhaatham" translates to literally "''auspicious [[dawn]]''". It is the fourth most widely read newspaper daily in Kerala. It publishes a variety of supplements including the Njayarprabhaatham.<ref></ref> The newspaper has various editions from Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kannur, Trissur, Kochi and Thiruvnanthapuram in Kerala.<ref></ref>

Kozhikode Iqrah Publication has launched the daily in 2014. ''Suprabhaatham''has 6 print editions published from Kozhikode, Kochi, Malappuram, Kannur, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram. The daily has readership across Kerala as well as among the ethnic Malayali population of Lakshadweep, Dakshina Kannada , Kodagu and Nilgiri. The daily is printed from seven different printing presses and has the backing of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, the representative body and the spiritual leadership of a faction of the SunniMuslims of Kerala which owns the publishers of ''Suprabhaatham'', Kozhikode Iqrah Publication.<ref></ref>

== Organization ==
A. Sajeevan is the Executive Editor while Nawaz Poonur holds the office of the Editor. Kottumala Bappu Musliyar is the chairman of the management while Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi, Abdul Hameed Faizee are the Directors.
