The Rajput ruler of the nearby Vala kingdom, Ibhal Valo, killed the [[Brahmin|Brahmins]] in his kingdom. He does not look at them, he plundered and never in a judicious manner. Seeing the wrath of the Ibhal valo, the Brahmins left the Vala kingdom and came to the neighboring state of Dhandhuka. When the government of Dhandhuka came to know that the Brahmins were coming here from the neighboring state, the king Dhan Mer after understanding the whole matter, the Dhan Mer settled 400 Brahmans in Dhandhuka. Seeing the cruelty of the Ibhal Valo, Dhan Mer pledged to kill the Valo.
