'''Katharine Mulherin Contemporary Arts''' was originally a small startup project designed by Katherine Mulherin (1964-2019) that grew in international acclaim from 1998 until her death in 2019. Mulherin was a contemporary Canadian curator running several contemporary spaces in both Toronto and New York City. She died Sunday, July 14th 2019 after committing suicide.
Mulherin was a well renowned curator and a spirited sponsor of fine art. She graduated from [[OCAD University]] in 1998 and continued to launch a long, successful and prominent career of 18 years. Some of the last shows featured at her space in Toronto at 1086 Queen West included David Ballantine and Mary Ma. She was a strong supporter of young independent artists and always virtuously supported countercultural underground artists who had yet to debut in the contemporary art world.
