The '''Third Federal Electoral District of Baja California''' ''(III Distrito Electoral Federal de Baja California)'' is one of the [[Federal Electoral Districts of Mexico|300 Electoral Districts]] into which [[Mexico]] is divided for the purpose of elections to the federal [[Chamber of Deputies (Mexico)|Chamber of Deputies]] and one of eight such districts in the [[States of Mexico|state]] of [[Baja California]]. The constituency is the largest in the state, covering the southern section of the [[Baja California Peninsula]] with a population centred on the coastal city of [[Ensenada, Baja California|Ensenada]].

It elects one deputy to the lower house of [[Congress of Mexico|Congress]] for each three-year legislative period, by means of the [[Plurality voting system|first past the post]] system.

== Geography ==
In the period between 1996 and 2005, the territory of this district was made up entirely of the municipalities of [[Ensenada, Baja California|Ensenada]], [[Tecate]] and [[Playas de rosarito|Playas de Rosarito]].<ref>Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)</ref>
