From 2006 he mainly performed in [[Heldentenor]] roles and thus achieved his international breakthrough. However, he is not only successful in [[Richard Wagner|Wagner]] roles, but still appears in Italian ([[Vincenzo Bellini|Bellini]], Verdi) and French (Don José) roles, but also in roles by [[Christoph Willibald Gluck|Gluck]] and [[operetta]] roll (Tassilo or Danilo).
Schukoff is freelance and has had engagements at the [[Opéra National de Paris]], the [[Metropolitan Opera]] in New York and the [[Bayerische Staatsoper]], among others.
In addition to his opera appearances, he also works as a concert singer, for example in the role of Waldemar in Schönberg's ''[[Gurre-Lieder]]'' in [[Wiener Musikverein]] conducted by [[Zubin Mehta]].
