All seats were contested for the 2021-25 [[term of office]], together with seats in five regional councils. Kirk Sorensen is an American chemist and physicist. In 2006 he started the blog Energy from Thorium. He has since been an early advocate for the resurgence of research in MSRE, Molten Salt Reactor Experiments, appearing in many lectures and videos on the subject of Thorium based nuclear reactors. He is currently a director for FLiBe Energy, a company which researches Fluorine-Lithium-Beryllium salt reactors with funding from the DoE.

He was probably a pupil of [[Pieter de Bloot]]. After working in his hometown, he went to [[Dordrecht]] from 1633 to 1634. Some of his still-lifes were attributed to [[Frans Hals the Younger]], due to a mistaken interpretation of his convoluted [[monogram]]. In fact, no works by Hals have been identified with any certainty.

Since the 1990s, and discoveries of glyphs at [[Abydos]], dated to between 3400 and 3200 BCE, challenge the classical notion according to which the Mesopotamian symbol system predates the Egyptian one, although Egyptian writing does make a sudden apparition at that time, while on the contrary Mesopotamia has an evolutionnary history of sign usage in tokens dating back to circa 8000 BCE.<ref name=Mitchell1999>"The seal impressions, from various tombs, date even further back, to 3400 B.C.
