Damtia (da•ma•tch•ia)
Damtia is a language which was made up by Timbot4x4

Alphabet
<br>
The alphabet uses a little line to the left, usually in the middle, unless it's curved, like an "S," or has a line through it, like an "F." This is used to distinguish the uppercase and lowercase letters that look similar apart, for example "O" and "o."

Grammer Rules
Lowercase Line Rule
Any lowercase letter, such as “O,” is similar to the uppercase “O,” thus you put a line to the left of the lowercase letter (-o). You only do this in writing. On a computer, you would just type “o.”

Vowels
The vowels of Damtia are, A | D | E | M | I | O | u | Y. “V” is not a vowel, even though it's the uppercase form of “u.” "M” and “D” are vowels because of the sound the “M” makes as well as the “D.”

“X” On Top of a Letter
It separates the last letter from it. For example, an “ë” in French. The “x” can be used on any letter and it must be lowercase. This can go on any letter (vowel, consonant, letter with accent).

Long Letters
Long letters have a colon after the letter “a:” “A:”

Charles Wicksteed (engineer)

Mbdfar: /* References= */ typo

Charles Wicksteed (1847–1931) was a British engineer, businessman, and entrepreneur. He is best known as an inventor of playground equipment.

Biography
Wicksteed was born in Leeds in 1847. His father was Charles Wicksteed (1810–1885), a Unitarian minister. At the age of 16, he accepted an apprenticeship at locomotive manufacturer Kitson & Hewitson. When he was 21, Wicksteed founded Charles Wicksteed and Co., Ltd., a steam plow contracting business. Initially based in Norfolk, he moved operations to Kettering in 1872. In 1876, he established an engineering workshop called The Stamford Road Works. The firm was successful, and he sold his plowing business in 1894.

In 1907, Wicksteed's firm developed an automobile transmission. Although considered a noteworthy invention, it was a commercial failure. Wicksteed then pivoted to power tools, including hydraulic hacksaw and circular saw machines. These inventions were highly successful and subsequently mass produced.

During World War I, Wicksteed principally manufactured munitions, gauges, and gears for the war effort. After the war, he decided to give back to the community. He began development of what would eventually become Wicksteed Park. He designed the layout of the park himself, which includes a 25 acre man-made lake, racing track, and railway.

Wicksteed Park opened in 1921, and Wicksteed began manufacturing playground equipment. He is considered the inventor of the modern-day playground slide and swing. In 2013, a prototype swing of his was unearthed near Wicksteed Park dating back to the early 1920s. It is believed to be the UK's oldest working swing.

Wicksteed's company Wicksteed Leisure Limited is still manufacturing play equipment.

Oregon Federation of Colored Women's Clubs

Osu.archivist.tem: Created article.

Oregon women achieved the vote in 1912 and throughout the state women in organizations organized around racial groups and ethnicities. Portland had a significant number of African American women’s clubs and organizations, including the Oregon Federation of Colored Women's Clubs.

Black women organized voter registration drives, public lectures, and events featuring well-known activist leaders to educate communities on important political issues. These clubs played important roles both locally and nationally in improving interracial relations and promoting civic engagement and uplift within African American communities. There were three pillars of community building in early Black Portland: women’s social clubs, newspapers and civic organizations. The Oregon Association of Colored Women's Clubs was formed in 1912 as the Colored Women’s Council and was a conglomeration of several smaller civic and literary clubs. Their motto was "Lift As We Climb." Katherine Gray was the first president when the club became the Oregon Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs.

Women in the Oregon Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs were also involved in the Suffrage movement. At a meeting of the Colored Women’s Council of Portland on May 12, 1912 members formed the Colored Women’s Equal Suffrage League. Their goal was “spreading equal suffrage ideas among those of the race.” Katherine Gray was the first president, Mrs. Lancaster was vice president, Edith Gray was treasurer, and Hattie Redmond was secretary. Redmond later served as president.

The Oregon club was organized under a regional and national branches of the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs (NACWC), which was based in  Washington D.C. NACWC was originally called the National Association of Colored Women (1896–1914) and was formed at a convention in Washington, D.C. when the National Federation of Afro-American Women and the National League of Colored Women merged.

By 1988, the club was called the Oregon Association of Color Women's Clubs, and had six active components: Altruistic Club, Fleur de Lis Club, Katherine Gray Club, Literary Research Club, Multnomah Women's Club, and the Harriet Tubman Club. They focused on charitable and educational work, awarded a Katherine Gray Scholarship and Women of the Year and Family of the Year awards, and supported local federated girls' clubs.

Rumfuddle

OnBeyondZebrax: /* Reception */ ooops

Rumfuddle is a science fiction story by Jack Vance published in ‘’Three Trips in Time and Space’’, a 1973 anthology of original science fiction novellas edited by Robert Silverberg. In Rumfuddle, a genius scientist named Alan Robertson has discovered that there are an infinite number of parallel universes. He creates a machine that can inexpensively access portals between universes that are similar to our own, which he calls “cognates”. At first, this technological leap leads to positive effects, such as infinite access to natural resources from other parallel worlds. As time goes on, though, people realize that this new power may have negative consequences.

Plot
San Francisco-based scientist Alan Robertson discovers portals to parallel universes and worlds. At first, this is heralded as a great benefit, as it has created a post-scarcity society; any raw resources can be harvested by going through a portal and getting them from a planet in another universe. As well, the problems of overpopulation and the resultant shortage of living space is also solved, because every family can live in a different parallel universe’s Earth-like world.

Many other fields are revolutionized, because the portal device can also transport you to other time periods, like a time machine. As such, a historian can travel back hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years to observe the world. Despite the technology’s benefits, Alan worries that it may lead to “new vices” and decadent lifestyles.

One example of the problems that the portals can cause is the use of the technology by Alan’s adult son Bob. Bob gives access to the portal device to a small group of friends, who he calls "Rumfuddlers," to set up complex practical jokes that change historical figures. The Rumfuddlers turn Nazi leader Hitler into a kosher restaurant worker and they make Marx, Lenin and Stalin into servants to Czar Nicholas.

Alan Robertson’s adopted grandson, now an adult, is a construction worker named Gilbert Duray. Gilbert is a bulldozer operator for Robertson’s company. As so many Old Earth inhabitants are living in parallel worlds, entire Earth towns have been abandoned. Gilbert’s job is to bulldoze the empty houses and businesses and then take the waste to a parallel world for disposal. With this work, former towns are converting back to natural forests.

Gilbert works on Earth but lives with his wife Elizabeth and three daughters in a parallel Earth-like planet called “Home” that he accesses via the portal. He travels through the portal to work in his the Old Earth, then returns to the Home planet in the evening. At the end of his day bulldozing Earth towns, Gilbert finds that he cannot access the portal to Home. Gilbert thinks the portal might be shut to him because he refused to meet his Grandfather’s elite friends, the practical joke-playing “rumfuddlers”. If the portal is permanently closed, this would mean his wife would be stuck in Home forever, all alone.

Gilbert asks this Grandfather Alan for help getting the portal to Home opened up, but Alan says he is not able to control the activities of Bob’s “Rumfuddlers”. The Rumfuddlers’ jokes and meddling in parallel worlds is getting increasingly complex and problematic. Alan does not agree with these activities, but he cannot get Bob and his friends to stop. Gilbert suspects that his loss of access to his wife and the Home world may be due to a Rumfuddler intervention.

Eventually, the reader learns that there are multiple Gilberts and multiple Elizabeths in different parallel worlds, with the copies being fairly close to the originals but not quite the same. Gilbert learns that Elizabeth has cooperated with the Rumfuddlers in closing off Gilbert’s portal to her, for reasons that Gilbert does not understand. Elizabeth eventually seeks to spend time with a number of different Gilberts on different parallel worlds.

Reception
The story is a parable about the dangers of new technologies and the unintended consequences that scientific innovations can produce.

Papyrus Brooklyn 35.1446

Raven rs: /* Content */

The Brooklyn Papyrus 35.1446 is the modern term for an ancient Egyptian document that is now in the Brooklyn Museum (New York).

Archaeological History
It was bought by Charles Edwin Wilbour in Egypt between 1881 and 1896. The document probably comes from Thebes. After the death of CE Wilbour, the papyrus was given to the Brooklyn Museum by the widow in 1916, but remained in the home of Theodora Wilbour, a daughter of Charles Wilbour, until 1935. At that time, the papyrus consisted of approximately 600 small fragments, which were reassembled from 1950 to 1952. In 1955 the papyrus was published by William C. Hayes. It is one of the most important surviving administrative documents from Egypt in the Middle Kingdom.

Content
The papyrus is described on both sides and was used over a longer period.

Front Side
On the front is a list of 80 people in various columns who have apparently escaped from an institution called a Large Prison / Labor Camp ( ḫnrt-wr ) and are registering their discovery. The list lists their names, the father's name, as well as a high official, a place or an institution to which they originally belonged. There is a note in another column as to whether the person is male or female. There follows an administrative statement, a place where the case was ticked off with a note of where the refugees are currently. Finally there are two notes as to whether the case is closed.

The content appear to date from the reign of Amenemhat III into the 13th dynasty. Copies of a letter and royal decree to Vizier Ankhu are also included within the document.

The content of this list has been the subject of controversial research and there are basically two conflicting approaches. On the one hand, the document is seen as evidence of Egypt as a forced state, in which parts of the population were forced to work and these people considered the work so overwhelming that they fled from it. On the other hand, it was pointed out that the document covers a period of several decades and the number of refugees for such a period is not very large. The evidence of clan liability is remarkable . As long as the fugitives were not caught, relatives have been captured.

Back Side
On the back of the document is a list of servants and Asians sold by a woman named Senebtisi, apparently the widow of Resseneb. In particular, the many Asian names on this list aroused the interest of research and shows the high proportion of foreigners in Egypt in the 13th dynasty.

Maple Hills Elementary school:

Maple Hills Elementary is one of the 15 elementary schools in the Issaquah School District; all elementary schools in this district teach kindergarten through grade 5 levels. Its students as well as those from Apollo, Briarwood, and Newcastle Elementary all later join together in Maywood Middle school, and those same students later go to Liberty high school.
Maple Hills was built in 1969, and it was later renovated in 1996 to have a central library with classrooms surrounding it. Other features such as its gym, auditorium, garden, sand field, and courtyard are other relevant components of the school.

Maple Hills Pool:

The Maple Hills pool consists of a 4-lane, 25-meter pool with a wading area and a baby pool. There is also a main office with attached men’s and women’s locker rooms. The pool usually opens to the community in late May and closes in early September.
The pool is also home to a summer league team that is a part of the Midlakes Swim League: the Maple Hills Marlins. The team has many traditions such as themed swim meets, a picnic award celebration at the end of the season, and big buddies, where an older team member acts as a mentor to a first-year swimmer.
Apart from the Marlins, the pool also offers swim lessons, lap swim, open swim, and can be rented for parties and events.

Maple Hills Park:

The park consists of two tennis courts, a playground, a baseball field, an asphalt walking path, a picnic shelter, and a soccer field. The baseball and soccer fields are often used and maintained by local teams.

Notable Events:

Each year, the community hosts an Easter egg hunt, 4th of July 5k and parade, and polar bear swim. Other non-annual events have also been put on such as hot dog feeds and park cleanups.

Ria Tikini

Grutness: added Category:Kāti Māmoe using HotCat

Ria Tikini or Ria Te Kini (ca.1810 - 19 July 1919), also known as Mrs Chicken, was a businesswoman, cultural informant, and midwife from Kāi Tahu and Kāti Mamoe descent. She was an informant for ethnographer William Anderson Taylor's work on Kāi Tahu history, and is credited as one of the midwives who paved the way for the creation of the Plunket Society of New Zealand.

Personal life
Tikini was born around 1810 at Ruapuke Island. She was 17 at the time of Te Rauparaha's attacks on Kaiapoi,, whether this referred to the initial raid in 1927 or to the later capture in 1931. She was variously said to be 20 or a young woman in the early 1840s during the Wesleyan missions of Reverends Watkin and Creed at Old Waikouaiti.

Little is documented about her family, however Tikini had an elder sister. She married Tikini Paha and adopted (in the traditional whāngai way) a son Henare (Henry) Parata. She lived in a small wooden house below the railway line on the slope of the Puketeraki hill.

Tikini was tattooed in the tuhi style, "each side of her face being adorned with two straight lines and from mouth to ear". By the twentieth century the ethnographer W.A. Taylor considered this an unusual and "ancient" style, which he dated back to the time of Tamatea 600 years previously. Taylor photographed her in 1907 wearing a large korowai, probably a family heirloom, along with a feather in a headscarf as a symbol of high status, and referred to her himself as a "rangatira wahine" or female chief.

She was known as a "shrewd businesswoman" who sold poultry. It was either this or an attempt to transliterate her name into English that led to her nickname of "Mrs Chicken". She was particularly known for keeping back the wings when she sold whole dressed chickens, which she kept as a "delicious" perk of the job.

When over 80, she was among the public who went to see the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on their visit to Dunedin. Despite being several times pushed back by an "officious" policeman, she was brought forward by his superior and the royal party shook hands and spoke with her.

By 1913, Tikini's elder sister had died. The sister's land in Kaiapoi was in the name of her husband, but as he was not a member of that area, Tikini attempted to have the title amended in her own favour.

By 1915 Tikini was "very deaf", however she was active even in early 1919 entertaining a visiting group of invalid soldiers. Predeceased by her husband, she died in the house of her son Henare Parata on Saturday 19 July 1919. She was noted at the time as "probably the oldest inhabitant of the dominion".

Ethnography
W.A. Taylor often gathered with Tikini among others including Mere Harper on a slope on the Huriawa Peninsula to talk about historic events. He noted that she "could speak with authority on the earliest European days". She was also among those visited by Herries Beattie.

Plunket
Tikini also worked among both Māori and Pākehā in the district as a midwife, tōhuka and healer. She worked for many years with Mere Harper, thirty years younger than her, to help with health issues in their community and deliver generations of children. In 1906, she and Harper delivered Thomas (Tommy) Rangiwahia Mutu Ellison. Tommy's older brother had died as a baby, so when Tommy also became ill the midwives brought him to Harper's friend, the doctor Truby King, where he thrived under their combined care. The Karitāne Home for Babies opened within a year, and, with the aid of the extensive networks established by Tikini and Harper, as well as Tikini's decades of experience and the traditional knowledge she held, soon developed into the Plunket Society.

In 2016, David Ellison, Upoko of Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki, and the son of Mutu Ellison, sought recognition for Tikini and Harper. An interpretive panel overlooking the Waikouaiti River was updated as a result, and in 2020, Plunket rebranded its logo to acknowledge its founding Māori midwives.

Hernen Castle

Thriley:

Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)

Hernen Castle is a Dutch castle from the 14th century.

Hernen Castle is located in the south of Gelderland, in the village of Hernen (municipality of Wijchen), in the far west of the Rijk van Nijmegen. It probably originated around 1350, and then consisted of only one residential tower (keep). Later it was repeatedly expanded, with the former courtyard increasingly being filled. The residential tower collapsed in the 18th century.

The castle has not been inhabited since the 17th century and has never been besieged. Partly because of that, little has been cultivated, and it has been well preserved. It is the only castle in the Netherlands with covered weather corridors.

In 1883 it was bought by the Den Tex family. A daughter donated the castle in April 1940 to the Friends of the Geldersche Kasteelen Foundation, which was set up especially for this purpose. A part of the castle is accessible; in another part is occupied by the A.A. Bredius Foundation.

In 1968, the television series Floris was recorded at this castle.

Motte
September 2009, archaeologist Laurens Flokstra and historian Wim Kattenberg, both from Wijchen, came across the remains of a Motte-and-bailey castle, west of the river De Elst. On an old aerial photo from the Royal Air Force, Flokstra had discovered a circular structure in the landscape, after which they made a 'radargram' of the intended terrain with a bottom radar. This showed that a damped moth moat had to be present in the soil. In the subsequent excavations, shards from the 12th and 13th centuries were found on the site of the former canal. Further discoveries, in the center of the former castle, show that the motte must have been here at the beginning of the twelfth century.

He is Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE).

It was the intention of the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) to oppose Anderson’s opposition, not based on a lack of qualifications but because “Anderson's nomination is the latest in a series of White House decisions to replace career-officer ambassadors, who have been in their embassies only a short time, with political appointees. In AFSA's view, this practice seriously threatens the unwritten but long-standing rule that a U.S. ambassador's normal tour of duty should be three years.”

Southeast Kentucky floods of 2020

Oliveleaf4: /* Statewide emergency and heavy rainfall events */ ce

Major flooding innundated Southeast Kentucky from February 6-7, 2020, as the result of an extremely heavy rain event.

Twenty one counties in Eastern Kentucky sustained flood damage, and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency on February 8, for Bell, Clay, Harlan, Knox, Leslie, Letcher, Perry and Whitley Counties.

Flooding timeline
Beginning on February 3rd, numerous rounds of rainfall began to impact eastern Kentucky. This continued through February 7th, highlighted by heavy rainfall from the evening of February 5th through the first half of February 6th. Rain amounts of 4-6 inches fell across much of southeastern Kentucky over this period. This led to major flooding and numerous mudslides across portions of Whitley, Perry, Letcher, Leslie, Knox, Harlan, Clay, and Bell Counties. The Governor subsequently declared a State of Emergency for these 8 counties.

Major flooding occurred along the Cumberland River at Pineville, Barbourville, and Williamsburg. Additionally, the communities of Loyall and Baxter experienced major flooding. Numerous roads became impassable across large portions of Whitley, Knox, Clay, Leslie, Letcher, Harlan, Perry, and Bell counties. In particular, Harlan County was hit extremely hard with the Kentucky Mesonet site on Black Mountain (4031 foot elevation) receiving over 6.5 inches of rain over this stretch.

Flood gates were closed in Pineville and Harlan, further impacting local travel. A couple of mobile homes were flooded and swept down the Cumberland River in Harlan County, while swift water rescues took place in Bell and Harlan Counties. Elkhorn Dam in Jenkins had water rushing over it for a period of time on February 6. A man went missing in Whitley County and was later found deceased in his car on Kentucky Highway 779 after his attempt to drive into flood waters. A total of seven homes were reported to have been in or under water across Whitley County as the Cumberland River in Williamsburg crested to its third highest stage on record of 34.84 feet. The city of Pineville saw the river rise to its second highest crest in history at 1019.06 feet, leading to several families being stranded without homes.

While impacts were greatest along the Cumberland River, several portions of the Kentucky River also flooded. Several roads were impacted in Hazard and Whitesburg, while Booneville, Heidelberg, and Ravenna also exceeded flood stage. Along the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River, the city of Pikeville hit flood stage and closed its flood gates.

During the first two weeks of February, "more than eight inches of water fell, causing the Cumberland and Kentucky Rivers to reach their highest levels in 40 years."

Relief efforts
By February 18, Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief workers were preparing for "mud-outs" (assisting with cleaning mud out of damaged houses) in Harlan, Bell, Knox and Whitley counties." On February 19, $500,000 in grant money was announced for flood cleanup, to ensure "environmentally responsible disposal of solid waste."

Statewide emergency and heavy rainfall events
On February 23, Gov. Matt Bevin "declared a statewide emergency in response to continued heavy rainfall events which have caused widespread flooding and damage to critical infrastructure across Kentucky."

The Atlantic Magazine noted that this flood has not received little attention at the national level, and that there has been no national relief effort.

Nancy Maria Donaldson Johnson (born 28 Dec. 1794 - died 22 April 1890) was awarded the first US patent for a hand-cranked ice cream freezer in 1843.

Biography
Nancy was born to Dr. Lothario Donaldson and Mary 'Polly' Rider in New York. She served with her sister Mary as a missionary for the Port Royal Experiment. She married Professor Walter Rogers Johnson. She lived in Philadelphia in 1843 when she filed for her patent.

She adopted two children. She died in Washington, D.C. in 1890.

Contributions
Johnson enhanced the ice cream making process by creating an appliance that used hand-cranked spatulas inside a cylinder to scrape ice crystals from the walls of the cooled container. She added holes to the spatulas to make it easier to crank.

Johnson received $1500 during the course of her life for her patent. However, she didn't enforce the patent, and William G. Young produced the Johnson Patent Ice-Cream Freezer in 1848.

Human-dinosaur coexistence

The pseudoscientific and pseudohistorical notion that non-avian dinosaurs and humans coexisted at some time in the past or still coexist in the present is common among Young Earth creationists and other groups.

Mainstream science currently understands that all birds are dinosaurs that descended from feathered theropods. By this broad and more technical sense of the word, humanity has coexisted with dinosaurs since the first humans appeared on Earth. However, in a narrow and more colloquial sense, the term "dinosaur" refers specifically to non-avian dinosaurs, all of which died out in the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction about 66 million years ago, while the Homo genus emerged only about 3 million years ago, leaving a space of tenths of millions of years between the last dinosaurs and the first humans. This article refers to attempts that have been made to deny such timespan.

Mythological creatures
Some proponents claim that mythological reptiles such as dragons and the Behemoth are historical descriptions of dinosaurs.

Hoaxes
Some hoaxes presented as historical depictions of dinosaurs, such as the Ica stones, have been produced.

Fiction
Speculative fiction commonly portrays non-avian dinosaurs and humans. Examples include The Flintstones, in which Stone Age humans have dinosaurs as pets and transportation.

Bartolomeo Signorini

Rococo1700:

Bartolomeo Signorini (1674–14 March 1742) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque, active in mainly in Verona.

He was born and trained in Verona under Santo Prunati and later Giambettino Cignaroli. In a review of Veronese painters, he is described as:
<blockquote>as a man of value (who gave) evident signs of not vulgar ingenuity. He invented with spirit, drew manually, but not disproportionately, colored reasonably, and knotted the drapery with panache ... but as he idled and dreamed of new ways, he set out from the good path, and he made certain paintings in a truly barbaric manner, especially over the last few years ... he abandoned himself to a race of idleness: procuring sooner to patch up old paintings, and buy, and resell them together with his friend Baroni.</blockquote> He appears to have met criticism for an altarpiece he painted for the church of San Bovo, and painted less.

* to create an architectural and real-estate pole: the safeguarding and reallocation of the building of the RTBF;
* to create a pole at the social level: demonstration of a dynamic action carried out jointly by representatives of the country's different communities with a view to creating a cultural institution of excellence with a European vocation. It is also on the borders of the privileged area of the Étangs d'Ixelles and the world of immigrant cultures.

Le Flagey has now regained its original function by creating a musical space with recording studios and concerts venues (the Brussels Philharmonic resides in Studio 4). It has become a place with an eclectic programming.

It was directed by from 2007 to 2011 and, since 2011, by Gilles Ledure.

Cinema house
This cultural centre has a room permanently dedicated to cinema. It screens films programmed by the Cinémathèque royale de Belgique. Either indisputable classics or recent curiosities that have not been distributed in the commercial network.

If the prints are, for the most part, the same as those shown at , the access price is much higher at the Flagey (about double). The audience is therefore, on the whole, easier, less heterogeneous.

Exceptional screenings are sometimes organised in the prestigious largest concert hall in Brussels where a huge screen is installed for the event. In 2003, Playtime by Jacques Tati was screened there in its original version in 70 mm, for the first time in Belgium.

Egon Ludwig Sedgwick Hanfstaengl (;* February 3 1921 in New York City ; † March 21 2007 in the USA) was a German art publisher and also Adolf Hitler‘s godchild. He was the son of Ernst Hanfstaengl.

Life
Egon Hanfstaengl was born on February 3 1921 in New York City as the son of Ernst Hanfstaengl and Helene Hanfstaengl, neé Niemeyer. Hitler became his godfather. He had a sister, Hertha, who died at the age of 5. He received his school education in England and Germany, where he also joined the Hitler Youth (HJ).

He went to the United States to study and was also an American citizen from birth on. As the son of a prominent former top official of the NSDAP, about whom the American press reported regularly, Hanfstaengl also came into the focus of the reporting. The New York Times announced the admission of the 18-year-old to Harvard University. The newspaper also reported that he volunteered for the United States Army Air Corps in early 1941. The news about Hanfstaengl's entry into the US Army also received attention from Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels, he made a corresponding entry in his diary.

Journalist John Franklin Carter, who, as a consultant to US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, had psychological assessments prepared of some Nazi leaders, also asked Hanfstaengl's father and his son. When Hanfstaengl started working on a book about the HJ, Roosevelt, who knew his father Ernst Hanfstaengl from studying in Harvard, spontaneously dictated several paragraphs for a foreword, according to the Carters report. According to American records, Hanfstaengl offered Roosevelt to travel to Hitler in the Berghof near Berchtesgaden in 1943 to attack him, but the White House ignored this suggestion.

After World War II, Hanfstaengl was a lecturer in European and American history at Brooklyn College in New York. From 1958 until its dissolution in 1980, he was managing director of the art and publishing house Franz Hanfstaengl in Munich. As the godchild of Adolf Hitler, he appeared in several documentaries about Hitler.
