'''Nikolai Denkov''' is a professor of [[chemistry]] at the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering (DCE), Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, [[Sofia University]], Bulgaria.
After obtaining his M.Sc. in [[chemistry]] in 1987 and Ph.D. in 1993, Denkov served as a visiting researcher for Nagayama Protein Array Project from 1994 to 1995. Between 1997 and 1998, he was a senior researcher at the Research Center of Rhone-Poulenc and in 2000 joined the Department of Physical Chemistry at [[Uppsala University]]. When he returned from Sweden, Denkov joined the faculty of Sofia University and served as its vice dean from 2004 to 2008 and then as head of the department until 2015.<ref></ref>
