The Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona (in Catalan, Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona; in Spanish, Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Barcelona) is a natural science museum located in Barcelona, created in March 2011 by the merge of four institutions. Out of the four, three were already existing entities:
* In the Forum Building, erected in 2004, the new Museu Blau ('Blue Museum'), that opened doors to the public in 2011. The term Museu Blau was abandoned in 2017 when the Museum changed its name to "Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona".
* The Botanical Institute of Barcelona (sited in Montjuïc), which administrates two botanical gardens: the Historical Botanical Garden (founded 1930) and the Botanical garden of Barcelona (founded 1999).
* The Museu Martorell, founded in 1882 as the Geology Museum and closed to the public since 2010.
* The Laboratori de Natura ('Nature Laboratory'), at the Castle of the Three Dragons, which hosted the Zoology Museum from 1920 to 2010.
The new museum that was inaugurated in March 2011, then called the Museu Blau (literally, the 'Blue Museum'), receives now the same name of the institution as a whole, the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona (Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona). It is hosted at the Forum Building, in the area in Barcelona known as the Parc del Fòrum (Catalan for 'the Forum Park'). The museum at the Forum Building keeps and maintains the collections of zoology that previously were on exhibition at the Castle of the Three Dragons, in the Parc de la Ciutadella.<ref>Quelart, R.
