'''Sir John Harpeden''' (died 1438) was an English knight and administrator who served as [[Seneschal of Gascony]].

==Life==
John spent his early years in the entourage of [[John Cornwall, 1st Baron Fanhope|John Cornwall, Baron Fanhope]]. During 1371, Harpeden was the commander of [[La Rochelle]] in Aquitaine, which was besieged by a French force. Appointed as Seneschal of Gascony, he served in this role between 1385 and 1389.

Harpedon died in 1438. His monumental brass is located in [[Westminster Abbey]]. The brass was originally in St. John the Evangelist’s chapel of the Abbey, however was relocated to the ambulatory.

==Marriage==
John married Joan, the widow of Robert Hemenhale, Reginald Braybroke, Nicholas Hawberk and John Oldcastell, she was the daughter of Sir John de la Pole and Joan Cobham, they are known to have had no issue.
