== Gap of Schuenke ==

The '''Gap of Schuenke''' is an anatomical term for the gap in the perineal membrane that allows passage of neuromuscular bundles from the pelvis into the external genitalia in humans. The Gap of Schuenke is located in the anterior portion of the perineal membrane, which attaches laterally to the ischiopubic rami. The deep dorsal artery, vein, and nerve of the clitoris (in females) and penis (in males) and travel out of the pelvis through the Gap of Schuenke into the external genitalia.<ref>http://bit.ly/2DNL41X>
