== Early Career ==
Matić started to play basketball in his hometown [[Belgrade]], for the [[KK Mega Basket]] youth selections.

In 2014, Matić was recruited to attend a prep school in California, U.S., Future College Prep in Carson, a suburb of [[Los Angeles]]. During the 2014-15 season, he averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game.<ref></ref>

Matić finished his second season with the Seahawks as the team's leading scorer with 17.1 points per game, while pulling down 10.1 rebounds per game and dishing out 2.1 assists per game while playing and starting in all 29 games.
