== History ==

=== 2003 - Beginning of the band ===

Ceremonya was born in June 2003, founded by Danilo Lopes (drums and vocals), member of the band that accompanied Father [[Marcelo Rossi]] and a former member of the Catholic band Eterna. To form the ministry, Danilo invited guitarist and vocalist Demian Tiguez, member of the band Symbols, keyboardist Francis Botene and multi-instrumentalist and bassist Marcelo Fleming, also a member of the band of Father Marcelo Rossi.

===2004 - Formations, first songs, shows ===

Having recorded a demo CD in early 2004, which also featured guitarist and producer Gustavo Carmo, Ceremonya began performing on June 13, 2004 at the Hallel Vale in [[São José dos Campos]] and played in several cities in Brazil and also in Hallel de Maringá, Hallel de Franca, Rock in Concert, Rock in Christ and the Modern Drummer Festival 2004. Gustavo Carmo's stay in the Ceremonya was about nine months during 2004.

=== 2005/2006- Consolidation of the band, changes in the formation of CD Sacramento de Cura ===

In March of 2005 the song "Sacramento da Cura" enters the repertoire of Masses of Father Marcelo. In April the band participated in the fifteenth anniversary event of the Catholic record label CODIMUC, playing a song by Danilo Lopes and Gustavo Carmo ("Thunder") and a version of "Sonda-me", released in November of the same year in Live CDs and DVDs, Um Só Coração, along with about thirty renowned artists from the Catholic scene. During the years 2005 and 2006, the Ceremonya performed shows and preaching in numerous cities, repeating participation in the Hallels and other shows.

In October of 2006, the Ceremonya enters in studio to begin the recordings of the CD Sacramento da Cura. In a forty-five day period, the band recorded, mastered and mastered the CD at Creative Sound studio in São Paulo with friend and producer Ricardo Nagata. The album was ready for release on December 26, 2006 and was released in January 2007. The CD contains the well-known "Sacramento da Cura" (which is also part of Father Marcelo Rossi's new CD Minha Benção) and the song "Na Língua dos Anjos", performed in Masses and on the radio program Momento de Fé, on Globo AM radio, by Father Marcelo Rossi.

=== Participation in TV programs (2007) ===

In May 2007, the band officially begins the tour of promoting the CD Sacramento da Cura. Visiting various regions of the country, the ministry also takes on the preaching, conducting and animation of retreats, as well as evangelism shows. Also included as a main stage attraction in Hallel de Paracatu, Hallel de Maringá and Hallel de Brasilia 2007. On November 2, 2007, the Ceremonya participated in the event "Saudade, Sim, Tristeza, Não!" Presented by Padre Marcelo Rossi, at the Autodromo de Interlagos, in São Paulo, with more than 2 million people.

In the second half of this year, Ceremonya participates in important Catholic television programs such as Academia do Som, presented by Ricardo de Sá and Revolução Jesus, from TV Canção Nova, Momento de Fé, screened by [[Rede Vida]] de Televisão, presented by Father Marcelo Rossi and Dom Fernando and Praises to the Lord transmitted by TV Século XXI, in addition to the Special Jesus Revolution of Natal Program, also shown by TV Canção Nova. === Change of formation new CD Ceremonya (2008-2010) ===

Between April and May 2008, Francis Botene and Demian Tiguez left the ministry and in their respective places entered Nei Medeiros, keyboardist of the Music Ministry who accompanies Father Marcelo Rossi in his Masses and guitarist Roberto Barros, from the city of [[Cubatão]]. In April 2009, Roberto Barros, left the ministry due to musical divergences. In his place enters Thiago Melo, in the month of June.

From the entrance of Thiago the band takes a firm grip on the recording of the new CD, which is recorded in November and December 2009 in the studio Paulinas COMEP together with Paulo Anhaia. The mix and the master are in charge of Ricardo Nagata in the studio Creative Sound. A friend of the band and responsible for the production of the first CD, Ricardo also participated in the production of some works of Eterna, the old band in which Danilo was present for seven years. Finally, the new CD titled Ceremonya is released in June 2010.

=== Awards and changes in the band (2011) ===

In 2011 the band won the Louvemos Trophy for the album Ceremonya, as the best Catholic Rock album of 2010. After that the band did several shows in important festivals of Catholic/Christian music in Brazil. And at the end of 2011 the band made another change in their lineup: Thiago Melo left the post of guitarist for Gustavo Dübbern (current) and next to him the biggest change in the band, a frontman: the post is in charge of Irineu Frade.

=== Changes of formation, shows and promises of a new album (2011-2015) ===

In 2012 Marcelo Fleming, bassist of the band, leaved the group for personal reasons, being replaced by Régis Costa. At the end of 2012, Régis leaved its position of bass player for Felipe Castro. Still at the end of 2014 the band decided to add another guitarist: Eduardo Zanchi. However, almost at the same time as Eduardo enters the band, Irineu and Felipe announce their exits, both for personal reasons, leaving the position of bassist for the well-known Regis, whereas the position of frontman until the present moment remains vague.

The band also announced in February 2015 that it will enter the studio to record their new album, being produced by the renowned musicians of national [[Thrash metal]] Heros Trench and Marcelo Pompel, both of [[Korzus]].
