'''Mirko Guerrini''' (born 28 April 1973 in [[Florence]]) is an Italian-Australian jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger.

==Biography==
Guerrini studied piano at the [[Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini]] in Florence, before changing his focus to the saxophone. He studied both as a classical and jazz musician with teachers such as [[Mauro Grossi]] and [[Dave Liebman]].

He soon began collaborating with [[Stefano Bollani]] and also with international musicians such as [[Billy Cobham]] and [[Mark Feldman]].

Together with Bollani, Guerrini was a founding member of "I Visionari" together with Nico Gori on clarinet, drummer Cristiano Calcagnile and bassist Ferruccio Spinetti. The quintet released a double album ''I Visionari'' (2006).

Guerrini also created the radio series "Il Dottor Djembè" for Radio3, together with Stefano Bollani and [[David Riondino]], from 2006 until 2012.<ref>[https://ift.tt/2UbhyOG Il Dottor Djembè at la Repubblica]</ref> Guerrini also composed numerous jingles for Radio3 at this time.
