Kirk Sorensen is an American chemist and physicist. In 2006 he started the blog Energy from Thorium. He has since been an early advocate for the resurgence of research in MSRE, Molten Salt Reactor Experiments, appearing in many lectures and videos on the subject of Thorium based nuclear reactors. He is currently a director for FLiBe Energy, a company which researches Fluorine-Lithium-Beryllium salt reactors with funding from the DoE.
