State funding institutes <ref></ref>(also: promotional banks) are special banks of Germany which pass on public funds through special loan programs.

At the federal level, the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau ([[KfW]]) and the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank act as national promotional banks. At state level, there are the following funding institutes:
