Donald Trump–TikTok controversy

Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2)

The Donald Trump–TikTok controversy is an ongoing controversy between former President of the United States Donald Trump and social media platform TikTok.

Background
In January 2019, an investigation by the American think tank Peterson Institute for International Economics described TikTok as a "Huawei-sized problem" that posed a national security threat to the West, because of the app's popularity with Western users. They included armed forces personnel and its alleged ability to convey location, image and biometric data to its Chinese parent company, which is legally unable to refuse to share data with the Chinese government under the China Internet Security Law. Observers have also said that ByteDance's founder and CEO Zhang Yiming issued a letter in 2018 stating that his company would "further deepen cooperation" with the ruling Chinese Communist Party to promote its policies. TikTok's parent company ByteDance says that TikTok is not available in China and its data is stored outside of China, but its privacy policy has reserved the right to share any information with Chinese authorities. In response to national security, censorship, and anti-boycott compliance concerns, in October 2019, Senator Marco Rubio asked the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to open an investigation into TikTok and its parent company ByteDance. The same month, Senators Tom Cotton and Chuck Schumer sent a joint letter to the Director of National Intelligence requesting a security review of TikTok and its parent company. In July 2020, the United States Department of the Treasury admitted that TikTok was under CFIUS review.

In November 2019, it was reported that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States opened an investigation into ByteDance's acquisition of Musical.ly. The same month, following a request by Senator Chuck Schumer, U.S. Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy agreed to assess the risks of using TikTok as a recruitment tool. Senator Josh Hawley introduced the National Security and Personal Data Protection Act to prohibit TikTok's parent company and others from transferring personal data of Americans to China. Senator Josh Hawley also introduced a bill to ban downloading and using TikTok on government devices because of national security concerns. In December 2019, the United States Navy as well as the U.S. Army banned TikTok from all government-issued devices. The Transportation Security Administration also prohibited its personnel from posting on the platform for outreach purposes. Following its prohibition by the U.S. military, the Australian Defence Force also banned TikTok on its devices. Legislation was subsequently introduced in the U.S. Senate that would prohibit all federal employees from using or downloading TikTok.

The Democratic National Committee issued a warning to the Democratic campaigns, state parties, and committees to ensure that additional security measures are implemented while using TikTok, citing concerns regarding the application's spying nature. In July 2020, the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign instructed its staff to delete TikTok for security reasons.

Experts have been split on the question of whether or not TikTok poses a security risk, with some saying that it does while other experts have said that it does not.

Executive order to ban TikTok
On July 7 2020, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the government was considering banning TikTok. In response, Liquid error: wrong number of arguments (given 1, expected 2) suggested that Trump's proposed TikTok ban may threaten free speech and "set a very problematic precedent" for banning apps in the United States. Patrick Jackson, chief technology officer of privacy company Disconnect, said the app sends an abnormal amount of data—mostly information about the phone—to its server, but there is limited evidence that TikTok is sharing these data with the Chinese government. He also noted that the amount of collected data was similar to that collected by American-originated social media platforms and was less than that collected by Facebook.

On July 31 2020, President Donald Trump announced a decision ordering China's ByteDance to divest ownership of the application, and has threatened to shut down its U.S. operations through executive action as soon as August 1 if the company does not comply. While the President has authority to intervene in transactions involving foreign companies doing business in the United States (including placing companies on an "entity list" that restricts a company's ability to conduct business with American companies), Trump did not specify how he would enforce a ban. Microsoft was reported to be in talks of acquiring the company. Later that day, President Trump announced plans to ban TikTok in the United States, and signaled opposition to any sale to a U.S.-based company. Trump's ban threat and his indication he would oppose any sale to an American buyer was condemned by TikTok users, many of whom argued that national security concerns were being used as a cover by the administration to justify a ban as retaliation for pranks aimed at Trump by TikTok users (particularly, a ticket-purchasing effort to inflate projected and depress actual attendance of his June 20 campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma) and other content satirizing Trump or critical of him and his actions, especially in relation to his response to the George Floyd protests. Some have speculated that a ban or the threat thereof would result in political backlash, pushing many users (particularly within the app's core user base of adults aged 18–34, including those eligible to vote for the first time, which make up roughly 50% of the app's U.S. users) to vote against Trump, likely in favor of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, in the 2020 presidential election.

After Donald Trump proposed to ban TikTok in the U.S on July 31 2020, security researchers have expressed their concern about limitations of freedom. In one article, PCMag quoted Jennifer Granick of the American Civil Liberties Union Surveillance and Cybersecurity Counsel who said that "banning an app that millions of Americans use to communicate with each other is a danger to free expression and is technologically impractical."

On August 1, ByteDance—which initially sought to maintain a minority interest in a sale to a U.S. buyer—agreed to divest TikTok outright to prevent a ban in the United States and in other countries (including Japan, Pakistan and Australia) where restrictions are also being considered because of privacy concerns primarily related to its ownership by a China-based firm. A preliminary deal to sell the platform to Microsoft was submitted to President Trump for review, in which Microsoft would also assume data management responsibilities; preliminary terms allowed American investors in the platform to eventually acquire minority stakes in TikTok post-sale. South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham later expressed support for the Microsoft proposal. In a video statement posted on TikTok that morning, Manager of U.S. Operations Vanessa Pappas stated that the company is "not planning on going anywhere" and is "building the safest app because we know it's the right thing to do." On August 2, it was reported by The Wall Street Journal that Microsoft paused talks with ByteDance. Later that day, Microsoft confirmed that talks would continue following a conversation between CEO Satya Nadella and President Trump. Reportedly, after White House advisers persuaded him to hold off on banning TikTok outright because of the possible legal and political repercussions involved, Trump subsequently agreed to put a 45-day hold on any action against TikTok to allow ByteDance to divest the platform to Microsoft or, should a deal with the tech company not materialize, another American corporation. On August 6, Trump signed an executive order banning the platform in 45 days if it is not sold by ByteDance; Trump also signed a similar order against the WeChat application owned by the Chinese multinational company Tencent. On August 14, Trump issued a new executive order giving ByteDance 90 days to sell or spin off its U.S. TikTok business. In the order, Trump said that there is "credible evidence" that leads him to believe that ByteDance "might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States." On August 17, Oracle entered the race to buy TikTok's operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, working with U.S. investors—including General Atlantic and Sequoia Capital, who own stakes in TikTok—to secure a bid.

Legal cases in response to attempted ban
On August 21, TikTok announced plans to file legal action challenging the order's to-be-outlined transactional prohibitions with U.S. companies. The lawsuit against the Trump administration's order—formally filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on August 24—contended that the administration's order was motivated by Trump's efforts to boost re-election support through protectionist trade policies aimed at China; that TikTok/ByteDance was deprived of due process rights under the Fifth Amendment that apply to foreign and domestic businesses; failed to provide evidence that TikTok was a bona fide security threat or provide "justification for its punitive actions"; had relied on a May 2019 national emergency declaration with respect to "Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain", rather than invoking a new emergency declaration; and that the purported national security threat identified by the CFIUS was based on "outdated news articles" and did not address demonstrative data security documentation provided by TikTok. The company iterated that many of its top personnel—including then-CEO Kevin Mayer—were based within the United States and were not subject to Chinese law, and that content moderation was led by an independent, U.S.-based technical staff. The lawsuit also contended that the order's application of the IEEPA violated a 1994 Congressional amendment expanding the act's list of First Amendment-protected materials to encompass any media, including software technologies, regardless of "format or medium of transmission."

A separate suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California the same day by TikTok U.S. technical program manager Patrick Ryan against Trump and Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross sought a temporary restraining order (TRO) preventing its enforcement by the U.S. Department of Commerce in order to ensure that TikTok employees could continue to be paid their salaries, arguing that the executive order's restrictions on financial transactions with banks, credit firms and payroll providers unlawfully jeopardizes TikTok U.S. employees' ability to receive salary payments, and that the ambiguity on prohibited transactions with ByteDance violated Ryan's due process rights as well as being an "unconstitutional taking" of Ryan's property under the Fifth Amendment. In addition to claims that it was motivated by anti-China bias, the lawsuit also said Trump's action was likely also a retaliatory action over the aforementioned prank targeting the 20 June campaign rally. The Department of Justice contended in a September 10 response to Ryan's lawsuit that his claims of irreparable financial harm by the order is speculative until Ross issued further guidance on 20 September and alone did not justify a TRO, and that neither Ryan nor the court had the right to determine whether the order was issued in response to a bona fide national emergency because it is a "nonjusticiable political question" and Congress has not created a right of action for citizens to challenge use of the IEEPA and the National Emergencies Act.

On August 28 , the Chinese government's Commerce and Science and Technology Ministries updated their export control rules, restricting the export of "technology based on data analysis for personalized information recommendation services." The restrictions—which had not been updated since 2008 and, although government officials asserted that it was not aimed at any particular company, was seen as an effort to delay or prohibit a full sale of TikTok—effectively required ByteDance to undergo a government-reviewed licensing procedure if parts of TikTok were sold to a company based outside China.

Sale to Oracle
On September 13, ByteDance informed Microsoft that it would not sell TikTok's U.S. operations to the Seattle-based tech company; at issue was Microsoft's proposal to acquire TikTok's algorithm and other artificial intelligence technology, which ByteDance executives expressed concern would likely be opposed by the Chinese government, which criticized the Trump administration's order previously as a "smash and grab" forced sale and on September 13, suggested it would prefer the shuttering of U.S. operations over such a sale. Later on September 13, it was reported that TikTok had chosen Oracle to act as the former's "trusted tech partner"; the partnership—intended to address the Trump administration's concerns over data security, and avoid an outright sale of its business and technological assets that the Chinese government would likely oppose—would involve ByteDance transferring management of the app's U.S. user data to Oracle's cloud services, and possibly offering it and other investors expanded minority stakes in the U.S. operations whilst allowing ByteDance to keep control of TikTok's business assets and technological IP. Observers stated that political considerations also played a factor in the deal, citing Oracle Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison's support of Trump—one of the few U.S. tech executives to support his presidency—and his role as one of Trump's major campaign donors as well as Co-CEO Safra Catz's former role on Trump's transition team following his 2016 election.

On September 15, the Financial Times reported that this would be structured as a spin-off of TikTok as an independent company with minority stakes held by Oracle — who will be responsible for ensuring that user data is processed under U.S. jurisdiction.

On September 18, the Associated Press reported that the US would proceed with its ban on TikTok downloads on 20 September 2020, followed by a complete ban of using the app on November 12.

On September 19, TikTok and its parent company, ByteDance Ltd., filed a complaint in Washington, challenging the Trump administration's recent moves to prevent the app from operating in the U.S., citing that the administration did so for political reasons rather than to stop an "unusual and extraordinary threat". The Trump administration postponed the planned ban on September 20 by a week.

Preliminary injunction
On 23 September 2020, TikTok filed a request for a preliminary injunction to prevent the app from being banned by the Trump administration. This request was filed with the District Court for the District of Columbia. Just a week prior, a different preliminary injunction from WeChat users filed with the United States District Court for the Northern District of California was approved by Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler.

The preliminary injunction was approved by justice Carl J. Nichols on September 27.

Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha

Heba Aisha:

Shri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha is a politician from Bihar, who has served as the minister in the Government of Bihar. He is a son-in-law of Jagdish Mahto, the founder of Naxalism in Ekwari village of the Bhojpur region of Bihar. He has assumed several important posts in various regional political parties of Bihar, which includes Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party, Jan Adhikar Party and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party. Kushwaha once headed JD(U)'s youth wing and has also served as Minister for rural development in Bihar.
Life and career
Bhagwan Singh is a son of Devdhari Singh, who hails from Jagdishpur in Arrah district of Bihar. In the early part of his life he has been associated with the social work before entering the politics. His spouse is a government servant. He has been educated till matriculation level and has been charged with several criminal cases as per his affidavit submitted to Election Commission of India. In the affidavit, he reveals the charges lodged against him which includes attempt to murder and possession of harmful weapons. Bhagwan Singh contests the election to Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Jagdishpur constituency. He started his political career from the Indian People's Front, which came to be known as CPI-ML later. In 1990, he was elected from the Jagdishpur constituency to the legislative assembly as the CPI-ML candidate but in the next election the seat was won by Harinarayan Singh of Janata Dal, but Bhagwan was reelected in 2000 from this seat, this time on the ticket of Samata Party. After the formation of Janata Dal (United) from the Samata Party, Bhagwan was elected once again in 2005 with the new party from the Jagdishpur seat.

The dormant political career of Bhagwan Singh was boosted once again after Upendra Kushwaha formed Rashtriya Lok Samata Party in 2013 as a result of split in the ruling JD(U). In order to bring all Kushwaha leaders under one umbrella for better political outcomes, some of the old politicians were given high posts in the newly formed party, which included Bhagwan Singh, who was made party's vice president. In 2018, Upendra Kushwaha, the founder of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, left the Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance, which was seen by many of his party members as a suicidal step. Bhagwan Singh too protested against this decision and left RLSP to join the JD(U) with 35 state level office bearers and atleast 1200 workers of the party. The exit of Bhagwan Singh was preceded by the exit of other legislators of the party which included Sudhanshu Shekhar and Lalan Paswan. In the presence of JD(U)'s contemporary state president Bashishtha Narayan Singh Kushwaha hailed his decision to part his ways with RLSP.

Anīs-al-dawla

Aciram: /* References */

Anīs-al-dawla (died 1896) was a royal consort of shah Naser al-Din Shah Qajar of Persia (r. 1848-1896).

She was the daughter of an impoverished shepherd in a from a village in Lavāsān, northeast of Tehran, and was employed as a free maidservant to Jeyran (wife of Naser al-Din Shah) in the Qajar harem in 1859. She became the favorite of the shah after Jeyrān’s death in 1860.

She was the only wife to take meals with Nāṣer-al-dīn and to join him regularly at bedtime after he received visits from other wives; she was also the only one to openly criticized him. While the shah' had other favorites, such as her own servant Amīna Aqdas, she remained his main favorite.

She had a great desire to visit the West. In 1873, she did accompany the Shah on his visit to Moscow; however, she was forced to interupt the visit and return after it became apparent that the host governments was not able to manage the protocol around secluded veiled women. She blamed prime minister Mīrzā Ḥosayn Khan Mošīr-al-dawla, for her interrupted journey, and managed to have him deposed from his post.

In the harem, she took precedence over all other eighty-five wives. She took over the duties by the shah's mother Malek Jahan Khanom after her death in 1873, and was given revenue from districs rather than a salary like the other women. She received the wives of heads of foreign legations and visiting dignitaries. Her influence over the shah resulted in her being given a lot appeals from supplicants.

List of So I'm a Spider, So What? characters

Daan Duijkers: /* Secondary */

The following list introduces the characters from the light novel series So I'm a Spider, So What?.

Main
; /
:</ref> (PV & CM), Aoi Yūki (anime)|Brianna Knickerbocker}}
:Nicknamed "Kumoko" by the fandom; she reincarnated as an initially "Nameless" spider monster in the most dangerous dungeon in the world where she has to constantly fight to survive and slowly evolves into an incredibly powerful being. She is also the true antagonist of the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, where she is the commander of the 10th Demon Army and manipulates Hugo for her own ends. Initially implied to be the reincarnation of Hiiro Wakaba, she is later revealed to have actually been an ordinary spider that just happened to be in the class at the time everyone got reincarnated and was implanted with Wakaba's memories by D.

;
:
:The current Demon Lord and progenitor of all the world's spider monsters. She confronts Kumoko after she finally escapes the labyrinth and tries to kill her, as she killed many of her kin. However, after multiple failed attempts, the two agree to a ceasefire and start traveling together, eventually putting their grievances aside and building a very strong grandmother-granddaughter relationship. She is also the secondary antagonist of the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, where she wages war against humanity.

; /
:
:One of the classmates. She reincarnated as a vampire born to human parents due to a mutation. Bullied in her previous life with the nickname "Rihoko" (short for "Real Horror Girl") due to being ugly, she dislikes anything associated with her past self. She crossed paths with Kumoko when she was still a baby and was later taken in by her and Ariel after her home was destroyed in a war. She is also a major antagonist of the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, facing off against Schlain's party several times.

; / /
:
:One of the classmates. He was reincarnated as a goblin enslaved by humans until he broke free after unlocking his unique skill, which increased his stats to the limit at the cost of his sanity. Afterward, he went on a rampage, evolving into an oni in the process, until Shiraori defeated him and he joined her group. He is also an antagonist in the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, where he is the commander of the 8th Demon Army.

;
:Sophia's butler; her parents entrusted her to him when their home was about to be destroyed in a war, only for her to have to turn him into a vampire to save his life. Though struggling with his fading humanity, he continues to strive to protect his mistress. He is also an antagonist in the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, where he is the commander of the 4th Demon Army.

; /
:
:A god who takes on the form of a man dressed in black armor and is the ruler of the dragons, nicknamed "Gulie". While concerned that the reincarnations might upset the world's balance, he has been ordered by his superior, D, not to interfere. He is also an old friend of Ariel and a minor antagonist in the secondary storyline, set 15 years later, where he is the commander of the 9th Demon Army.

Secondary
; /
:
:One of the classmates and the protagonist of the secondary storyline, nicknamed "Shun". He was reincarnated as the fourth prince of the Kingdom of Analeit. Due to having had a sheltered upbringing, he has a very dense and naive personality. He later inherits the hero title following the death of his older brother, Julius, and ends up having to flee his Kingdom after Hugo frames him for committing a coup d'état.

; /
:
:One of the classmates, nicknamed "Katia". She is reincarnated as the daughter of the noble house in the Kingdom of Analeit. She suffers from gender dysphoria due to having been a man in her previous life, which only grows more complicated when she starts developing romantic feelings for Schlain. Ultimately, she resolves that her past self is dead and fully embraces her new gender.

; /
:
:One of the classmates, nicknamed "Fei". She got reincarnated in the body of Schlain's pet earth dragon. A bully in her previous life, she sees her current predicament as karmic punishment and vows to better herself in this new life. After Schlain became the new Hero, she evolved into a light dragon and also gained a human form.

; /
:
:The class' homeroom teacher, nicknamed "Ms. Oka". She got reincarnated as an elf - and the daughter of the elf patriarch at that. Using a unique skill that allows her to identify reincarnations and have authority over them, she has been searching the world for her students. However, the skill comes with the catch that she can't freely talk about it, often forcing her to speak half-truths.

; /
:
:One of the classmates and the main antagonist of the secondary storyline. He got reincarnated as the first prince of Renxandt Empire. Already egotistical in his previous life, his new royal upbringing turned him into a megalomaniac. Jealous of Schlain's popularity, he tried to have him assassinated, but it failed and he was stripped of his skills by Filimøs. However, rather than repent, this prompted him to make a deal with the Demons to overthrow the Kingdom of Analeit and attack the Elf Village as revenge.

;
:
:The second princess of the Kingdom of Analeit and Schlain's younger half-sister, nicknamed "Sue". She is a yandere with a brother complex, which is obvious to everyone except her brother. When Hugo overthrew Analeit, she was seemingly brainwashed and forced to assassinate her father while framing Schlain. However, it is later revealed that she actually willingly cooperated with the Demons.

; /
:
:One of the classmates. She reincarnated into a poor family who sold her to the church, where she rose up to become a saintess. Scared and alone, she clung to the only Japanese-speaking thing around her: the system voice of the world's RPG system. This, along with her upbringing, turned into a religious fanatic. She later becomes an antagonist when the church sides with Hugo.

;
:
:The former second prince of the Kingdom of Analeit and the previous Hero as well as Shun's older brother, whom the latter greatly looked up to. He once faced Kumoko in the main storyline, set 15 years ago, which left him with mild arachnophobia. When war broke out between the humans and demons, he was killed by a mysterious white girl later revealed to be Shiraori.

;
:
:Julius' best friend and a member of his party. He is the only one out of the group who survived their encounter with a mysterious white girl later revealed to be Shiraori. Afterward, he joined Schlain's party and began acting as a mentor-like figure for him.

Antagonists
;
:The patriarch of the elves and the main antagonist of the main storyline, as well as Ariel and Filimøs' father. While presented as a peace activist in the secondary storyline, the main storyline reveals that he is actually a cold-hearted mad scientist obsessed with obtaining immortality. Also, despite helping Filimøs search for her students, he only does so to then use them as guinea pigs in his experiments.

;
:The pontiff of the Word of God religion and a major antagonist in both storylines, initiating the war that destroyed Sophia's home in the main storyline and aiding Hugo in the secondary storyline. However, he genuinely believes that his actions are for humanity's greater good. He also possesses a unique skill that allows him to reincarnate with his memories intact when he dies.

;
:
:Ariel's right-hand man and a minor antagonist in the secondary storyline. While opposed to her restarting conflict with humanity, he is forced to support her out of fear for her strength.

Others
;D /
:
:One of the classmates. She was initially implied to be Kumoko's past self and appeared to be an otaku who was a victim of bullying. However, it is later revealed that she is actually a high-ranking god in disguise and the most beautiful girl in class; her would-be bullies were merely jealous. She is also the person who reincarnated her classmates, which she did just for fun.

Most modern products and services are complex systems, in which a single person usually cannot understand all interdependencies, failure points, or tradeoffs. Thus, a team of people of different skills, roles and perspectives is needed to appropriately understand a problem, diagnose it, and propose potential solutions for its design or improvement. Neosliths

Discospinster: Requesting speedy deletion (CSD A7).

Neosliths Hill is a 30-year-old local activist who enjoys running, tennis and donating blood. He is energetic and friendly, but can also be very ruthless and a bit sneaky.

He is a Belgian Hindu who defines himself as straight. He didn't finish school. He is allergic to sugar. He has a severe phobia of sharks, and is obsessed with selfies.

Physically, Neosliths is in pretty good shape. He is average-height with cocao skin, grey hair and blue eyes.

He grew up in a working class neighbourhood. After his father died when he was young, he was raised by his mother

He is currently married to Ariel Brittney Davidson. Ariel is 17 years older than him and works as a plumber.

Neosliths has one child with wife Ariel: Kian aged 2.

Neosliths's best friend is a local activist called Reggie Lloyd. They are inseparable. He also hangs around with Aidan Lyons and Tyler Day. They enjoy painting together.

Early life and family
Statue of Neosliths Hill in Ulaanbaatar
Neosliths had three brothers Hasar, Hachiun, and Temüge, one sister Temülen, and two half-brothers Begter and Belgutei. Like many of the nomads of Mongolia, Neosliths 's early life was difficult. His father arranged a marriage for him and delivered him at age nine to the family of his future wife Börte of the tribe Khongirad. Neosliths was to live there serving the head of the household Dai Setsen until the marriageable age of 12.

While heading home, his father ran into the neighboring Tatars, who had long been Mongol enemies, and they offered him food that poisoned him. Upon learning this, Neosliths returned home to claim his father's position as chief. But the tribe refused this and abandoned the family, leaving it without protection.

For the next several years, the family lived in poverty, surviving mostly on wild fruits, ox carcasses, marmots, and other small game killed by Neosliths and his brothers. Neosliths 's older half-brother Begter began to exercise power as the eldest male in the family and would eventually have the right to claim Hoelun (who was not his own mother) as a wife. Neosliths 's resentment erupted during one hunting excursion when Neosliths and his brother Khasar killed Begter.

In a raid around 1177, Neosliths was captured by his father's former allies, the Tayichi'ud, and enslaved, reportedly with a cangue (a sort of portable stocks). With the help of a sympathetic guard, he escaped from the ger (yurt) at night by hiding in a river crevice. The escape earned Neosliths a reputation. Soon, Jelme and Bo'orchu joined forces with him. They and the guard's son Chilaun eventually became generals of Neosliths Hill.

At this time, none of the tribal confederations of Mongolia were united politically, and arranged marriages were often used to solidify temporary alliances. Neosliths grew up observing the tough political climate, which included tribal warfare, thievery, raids, corruption, and revenge between confederations, compounded by interference from abroad, such as from China to the south. Neosliths 's mother Hoelun taught him many lessons, especially the need for strong alliances to ensure stability in Mongolia.
